Evaluation 4

For this task, I evaluated on the Web 2.0 tool Emaze how I applied media technologies to the construction of all of my coursework. I looked into various tools that I used during my research and planning such as Web 2.0 tools like Piktochart and Prezi. I also look into the technologies I used within the production stage such as my camera equipment and other tools like Final Cut and Photoshop. I felt that this task was important as without all of these tools, I would of been unable to create my 3 products. Now I am more familiar with how to use these various different media technologies, I have been able to produce my work at a higher level of standard. As well as this I created an iMovie to clearly show how and where technology was used specifically to help make my products, this iMovie will show how I used the camera, photoshop, final cut and the different tools I used within these to create my products.

Evaluation 3

For this task, I evaluated on the Web 2.0 tool visme how constructive my audience feedback was. I found this task important as it showed how my audience feedback allowed me to develop and grow my 3 products to get them at their highest standard. By getting other opinions, I was able to see what I needed to change on my products in order for them to appeal to my target audience. Their feedback was very successful as I took all their criticism on board to improve my ancillary tasks and music video, this task showed me that without target audience feedback my products would not be at their best potential. Created using Visme . Free Online Presentation Software.

Evaluation 2

For this task, I evaluated on the Web 2.0 tool Canva how effective the combination of my ancillary tasks and music video were. I did this task to show that although I was creating 3 different products there was still links between all products such as colour scheme, location, artist etc. For example for all 3 products, I used the same protagonist. I found this effective as I was able to show that my digipak and album advert shared all the same links, whereas my music video did share numerous similarities but did not always link to my ancillary tasks. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts? by India Gee

Evaluation 1

For this task, I evaluated on the Web 2.0 tool Powtoon how my media products use, develop and challenge forms of conventions of real media products. Therefore I spoke about different aspects such Goodwin's theory and if my products followed his conventions. I also talked about what inspired me to create my final products in such a specific way, to do this I analysed each product in detail. This task was helpful as it shows where I got my inspiration from for my products and how my products follow specific conventions in order to appeal and attract towards my target audience. Due to Powtoon not displaying my images, I screenshotted each page to show where my images were meant to be.

Final Digipak

Image
This is my final digipak, which I created on photoshop. This task took me a while due to the fact I had to pick my colour scheme, my fonts and images etc, I used inspiration from other digipaks in order to do this. I enjoyed doing this task a lot as I got to play around with the different tools and photoshop snd decide what backgrounds, colours etc I liked best. I got critical feedback from my teachers, which I took on board and changed what was necessary. This task will help me in the future as I now know the typical conventions of a digipak and how they should be layed out. As well as this I am now more familiar with how to use Photoshop.

Final Album Advert

Image
This is my final album advert which I completed on Photoshop. This task enabled me to play around with different tools such as the magnetic tool and apply them when making my advert. When doing this task, I had to research other album adverts to have an idea as to what needs to be on my cover such as the date and social media logos. From this task, I not only learnt all the typical conventions of a album advert but I also learned new skills on photoshop such as cutting out images. Therefore in the future, I will have a much better understanding of how to use Photoshop and the various tools.

Final Music Video

Image
This is my final music video which was made and edited on Final Cut. It was a long process due to the fact we had to edit various shots, re film shots and gather feedback from our target audience. We changed a lot of our video throughout the time we made it in order to make sure it was at the highest standard it could be at. In order for our final music video to be at its best, we all had to work as a team and agree on all of our different ideas, we were successful in doing this which made the process of making the video even quicker. While making this video, I learnt various new things on Final cut such as adding animatics to our shots and using various tools. Therefore this will help me in the future as I will be prepared when it comes to using Final Cut again.

Rough plan of my digipak

Image
For this task, I draw out a rough plan of how I wanted my final digipak to look after receiving feedback on my 'mock digipak. This was beneficial as I was fully prepared when it came to finishing my digipak. I did this rough plan, as after receiving critical feedback about my 'Thank you' page, I wanted to completely change it. Therefore by doing this rough plan, I knew that I was going to replace the page with a image of my artist looking side ways. However I knew it was still a plan and there were still going to be more changes to the overall digipak.

Target audience feedback on Album Advert

Image
For this task, I received feedback on my album advert from my target audience. This was very beneficial as I received similar critical feedback from each person, therefore I knew exactly what I needed to add and change on my album advert cover. This task will help me in the future, as it shows how important receiving target audience is in order to get my tasks at their highest standards.

Target audience feedback on digipak 2

Image
For this task, I took previous feedback on my digipak and changed what I thought was necessary after hearing what my target audience thought I should improve. In order for my digipak to be at a even higher standard, I decided to get audience feedback again on my improve digipak and see if they still thought I could add or change some things to make it even better. This task will help me in the future as it shows how important it is to get audience feedback, as it enables you to get your products at the best standard due to hearing other peoples opinions on it.

Colour schemes/costumes

For this task I used the Web 2.0 tool Canva to display why I used my certain colour scheme and where we got our inspiration for our costumes. This task was helpful as if I hadn't previously researched other digipak colour schemes, then I wouldn't of had a strong idea of how I would of wanted mine to look. This is the same for costumes, by researching artist of a similar genre I was able to see what kind of costumes they wear and therefore dress my artist in similar ones. This task will help me in the future, as it shows that researching ideas before completing the task is always helpful as it makes me more prepared when it comes to doing the final task.
